ACU Vice President

Rev Anthony Casamento CSMA was appointed Director, Identity and Mission at ACU in September 2011. Prior to this appointment, he held a number of parish roles while also serving as Chaplain to the ACU North Sydney Campus for a number of years.

Fr Anthony is a member of the Congregation of St Michael the Archangel (Michaelite Fathers), which is part of the wider Salesian family. Fr Anthony’s priestly formation was undertaken at the Michaelite Seminary in Sydney and in Rome. His initial theological studies were undertaken at the Catholic Institute of Sydney (CIS). He holds a number of undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology, history and theology. His academic area of interest is The Holocaust (Shoah). Fr Anthony serves as the Vocations Director and Provincial Bursar for the Michaelites in Australia and the Pacific region and is a part-time Chaplain to the NSW Police Force.

Outside of university and ministry, Fr Anthony is an avid reader, enjoys following the rugby, travel and spending time with his nieces and nephew.
