Engagement and Impact (EI) is a companion exercise to Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA), developed to assess how well university researchers are engaging with end-users and translating their research into economic, social, environmental, cultural and other impacts.
Research that benefits all
At ACU we are committed to the pursuit of knowledge, the dignity of the human person and the common good. As part of this pursuit, we engage in research that creates real change with sustainable outcomes, partnering and working closely with organisations and individuals that can help us achieve those outcomes.
Research Engagement is the interaction between researchers and research end-users outside of academia, for the mutually beneficial transfer of knowledge, technologies, methods or resources.
Engaged research benefits the community by bringing much needed expertise to solving complex real-world problems; and benefits researchers by enabling them to better understand these problems and undertake more informed research.
ACU Engagement undertakes the collection and reporting of Research Engagement and Impact data; and the development and implementation of policies and strategies to increase Research Engagement and Impact. We also work with Faculties and Institutes to encourage, facilitate and promote Research Engagement and Impact outcomes. Meet the ACU Engagement team and find out how to contact us.
