All our students have the opportunity to study at our Rome Campus during their degree. It’s an incredible opportunity to live and learn in one of the most fascinating cities in the world. The campus is a joint initiative between us and the Catholic University of America and it brings together students from all over the world.

The Rome Campus is located on Janiculum Hill, just 2km from Vatican City. On your doorstep is the best that Rome has to offer. You’re within walking distance of historical sites, cafes, restaurants and the trendy Trastevere district.

Getting to and around Rome

The best way to get to know Rome is to walk. Incredible historic and cultural are never far from each other and you can literally feel the history beneath your feet. If you do need to venture farther afield, here are some helpful hints for getting around.

There are two airports in Rome so check where you’re landing for specific instructions. Taxi is typically the fastest way to get to the campus but buses and trains are more affordable.

Rome2rio is a great resource for planning your trip.

Public-transport tickets are valid on all of Rome’s bus, tram and metro lines, except for routes to Fiumicino airport. These tickets are not valid on trains.

Four buses stop immediately outside the campus gates, and these can take you across the river to the Pantheon or the Colosseum.

The Trastevere tram is only a 5-minute walk away from campus and it can take you to the local Trastevere train station. From there, the airport is about 30 minutes away.

Public-transport tickets can be bought from newsstands and vending machines at stations or on buses.

There’s a lot to see in Rome but much of it can be accessed by foot. Often, it’s just as quick and more enjoyable than getting around on public transport.

Life on campus

All of the facilities you need for your stay are on campus. The modern, bright grounds have plenty of places where you can relax and exchange stories with your fellow students, including lounge areas, gardens and terraces that offer views over the city.
