Our scholarships help you achieve your research goals.

We offer scholarships funded by the Australian Government, ACU, industry partners and donors.

Students with strong academic credentials and research potential are encouraged to apply after considering the scholarship description, eligibility requirements, selection criteria and application closing date.

Scholarships are awarded following a merit-based selection process and cover tuition fees and a living allowance paid as a fortnightly stipend.

Domestic students approved for enrolment in a master’s by research or doctorate program at ACU receive a Research Training Program Fees Offset Scholarship, so are exempt from paying tuition fees. For further information please refer to our Research Training Program Scholarship Policy (Section 2).

The Fulbright Commission offers a diverse selection of scholarships for Australian students, scholars, and professionals seeking to study or conduct research in the U.S. Applicants can be at any career stage and from any academic background.

The Fulbright Future Scholarships offer funding for full tuition/visiting researcher fees at any U.S. institution, as well as travel and living costs.

The Scholarships are currently open for application from postgraduate students, PhD researchers, academics and professionals who propose innovative research projects with potential for significant impact.

The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia. Awards are also available for Australians to undertake study, research and professional development abroad.

Applications for the 2019 round of Endeavour Scholarships are now open

The John Monash Scholarships are postgraduate scholarships awarded to outstanding Australians with leadership potential who wish to study overseas. The John Monash Scholarships are amongst the most important postgraduate scholarships currently available in Australia. The Scholarship is open to Australian citizens who have completed an undergraduate degree in Australia and wish to pursue postgraduate study at a university outside of Australia. The Scholarship is not restricted by age, discipline or choice of overseas institution.

Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarships

The Ramsay Centre for Western Civilisation is offering Postgraduate Scholarships to high-achieving students with leadership qualities who intend to complete a graduate program overseas.

The application portal is now open for 2023 and will close 5pm AEDT, 31 March 2023.

There are two scholarships on offer:

  • The World Universities Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship valued at AUD $90,000 p.a. for students undertaking postgraduate study at the world’s best universities (e.g., Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Harvard, Princeton and Bologna to name a few).
  • St John’s College, Annapolis, Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship valued at AUD $75,000 p.a. for students undertaking a Master of Arts in the Liberal Arts. Students will also participate in an internship program, in an area of interest to them, in Washington D.C.

Students applying for the scholarship will need to have secured a place in a graduate program abroad before finalising their application.
