About Indigenous leadership

Specialise in Indigenous leadership as part of your Master of Educational Leadership. You’ll explore the theory and practice of First Nations leadership before and during colonisation, critically reflect on Eurocentric perspectives and Western scholarship, and engage in transformative leadership that embodies principles such as: vision, values, relationships, resilience, reciprocity, integrity, ethics, morality and culturally responsive community engagement. You’ll then apply this knowledge through an exploration of your own cultural and personal values – both as an individual and a future education leader.

Do it online

Too busy to come to campus? No problem. Some of our educational leadership courses are delivered online, so you can skip the classroom and better balance your work, study, home and community commitments.

Further study

Our Master of Educational Leadership can lead to more advanced studies and academic research. If you complete a capstone research project during your course, you may be eligible to enrol in a doctorate by research.

Indigenous support

Learn about our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student services. Our Indigenous Higher Education Units on each campus offer academic, personal and cultural support in a welcoming and culturally safe space.
