About mathematics

ACU mathematics students sitting on campus working on their laptops

Go beyond the numbers. Study mathematics to develop your understanding of systems, solve complex problems and use the language of mathematics to make logical arguments and describe the physical world. You'll get a broad introduction to the fields of traditional and contemporary mathematics, including cryptography, networks and modelling.

Share your knowledge

Mathematics teachers are in high-demand. Incorporate your mathematics studies into a Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts, and you’ll have a teaching area to take into the classroom. Alternatively, if you've already completed a degree you might want to use it as a pathway into our Master of Teaching programs so you can encourage your young students to develop an early taste for numbers.
