Projects and Programs

The PM Glynn Institute's brief is to contribute to deeper thinking and renewed conversations about important issues facing the Catholic community and Australian society, and to develop well-supported, practical and achievable proposals to address them.

The institute's work is centred on three major work streams that aim to provide a clear-eyed, evidence-based survey of the political and sociological landscape, and the opportunities and challenges for the years ahead.

The institute also manages targeted projects. The goal is to bring visibility to evidence and perspectives that may have been overlooked, in a way which contributes to a positive and respectful public debate. This is especially important on issues where there are deeply held concerns on all sides.

The work of the institute ranges from developing research papers that map the landscape and highlight public policy questions, to discussion papers developing appropriate public policy responses to these questions, and detailed policy initiatives for consideration by government, not-for-profits and business.
